My Angel : 김도연 초대전

전시 개요 OVERVIEW 갤러리 전은 2023년 두번째 전시로 김도연 초대전 ‘My Angel’ 전을 진행한다. 대구에서 첫 개인전을 여는 김도연 작가는 도자기의 마을 이천에서 태어나 자랐다. 어린시절부터 ‘흙’이라는 요소는 작가의 자연스러운 성장환경이자 자신을 나타내는 도구였다. 이번 전시는 작가의 삶과 떼어낼 수 없는 재료를 오랜시간 수 많은 손길로 다듬어 낸 도판작업 등을 선보인다. 작가만의 비법으로 구워낸 도판위에 드로잉한 후 상감기법을 응용해 날것 같은 독특한 질감을 연출해 낸다. 도판을 만들고 그림을 그리는 등 긴 시간 정성을 쏟으며 작업하는 동안 작가는 솔직한 자신과 마주하고 세상과 소통하는 날개를 단다. Kim Do-yeon’s Solo exhibition “My Angel” will be held as the second Exhibition of the gallery JEON. ​ Kim Do-yeon, who will hold her first solo exhibition in Daegu, was born and raised in Icheon, the village of ceramics. Since childhood, the element of ‘soil’ has been a natural growth environment and a tool for expressing oneself. This exhibition will showcase the artist’s life and the work of painting that has been trimmed with countless hands for a long time. After drawing on a drawing board baked with the artist’s own secret method, inlaid techniques are applied to create a unique texture that seems raw. While working with a long time of devotion, such as making drawings and painting, the artist wears wings that face honest self and communicate with the world. 1250℃ ‘My Angel’ 김도연 작가에게 ‘도자 작업’는 스스로를 표현하는 수단이자 세상과 소통하는 매개체이다. 차갑던 흙이 뜨거운 불을 만나 인고의 시간을 견디고 견뎌 ‘너’에게 다가가기 위해 날개를 달았다. 세상 밖으로 날아가 ‘너’에게 미소를 안겨 줄 수만 있다면! 1250℃ ‘My Angel’ For Kim Do-yeon, ‘Pottery work’ is a means of expressing oneself and a medium of communication with the world. ​ The cold soil met the hot fire and hung wings to endure the time of work and reach to “you.” If only I could fly out to the world and give you a smile!
