짙은 녹색 안으로 Into the Dark Green

전시 개요 OVERVIEW 도심 속 포스트 아포칼립스 서정아트에서 진행되는 ‘짙은 녹색 안으로’ 전시는 도심에서 초록빛 식물 군락을 공통적으로 만들어내는 밍예스, 풀림 두 작가의 작업을 탐색하고, 두 작가들이 만들어낸 도심 속 새로운 차원을 관람객에게 선보이기 위해 기획되었다. 밍예스(Mingyes) 작가는 대표 작업인 Association(군락) 을 비롯한 다양한 작업을 통해 빛을 향해 성장하는 식물의 균형잡기를 보여준다. 또한, Moss Series 를 통해 증식하는 이끼의 크기 및 형태 변화의 모습을 보여주며 주변 환경에 적응하며 끊임없이 성장하는 식물의 모습을 보여준다. 풀림(Pulrim) 작가는 대표작인 풀바다 시리즈를 통해 불규칙적으로 흩날리는 식물의 이파리들을 하나의 리듬처럼 묘사하며, 도심 속 가공된 자연의 패턴 이미지를 교차시키고 매 순간 우리가 마주하고 있는 자연의 모습이 과연 자연스러움이 맞는지에 관해 질문을 던진다. 자연 그 중에서도 식물의 군락을 촉각과 시각적 패턴으로 각각 표현하고 있는 밍예스, 풀림 작가의 작업은 전시 공간은 현실과 분리된 세상처럼 이질적인 느낌을 준다. 투명한 유리를 경계로 삭막한 폐허처럼 변한 도심과 자연 사이의 중간계를 두 작가의 작품으로 가득 채우고 있다. 두 작가가 그려낸 자연은 실존과 허구를 넘나들며 또 다른 차원을 형성하고, 이는 우리에게 포스트 아포칼립스를 예견하게 한다. *전시 서문의 제목은 서덕준 시인의 시 도둑이 든 여름 을 인용했다. Post-Apocalypse in the Urban Jungle ‘Into the Dark Green’ at Seojung Art presents the works of Mingyes and Pulim, exploring their shared endeavor of cultivating green plant communities within urban settings. This exhibition aims to present viewers with a novel dimension of the urban realm as envisioned by these two artists. Mingyes showcases the delicate equilibrium of plants growing towards the light through various works, including her signature piece, Association. Meanwhile, her Moss Series portrays the metamorphosis in size and form of proliferating moss, unveiling the ceaseless growth and adaptation of plants within their surrounding environment. On the other hand, Pulrim captures the irregularly scattered leaves of plants, composing them into a rhythmic harmony in her Grass Sea series. In this series, she intertwines images of processed patterns of nature within the urban landscape and questions the authenticity of the nature we encounter. Mingyes and Pulrim, each representing plant communities through tactile and visual patterns, infuse the exhibition space with an uncanny atmosphere, reminiscent of a realm detached from reality.
