영아티스트 시리즈 기획전 ‘HIDE, SHOUT, BURN, SWIM’

전시 개요 OVERVIEW 영아티스트 시리즈인 이번 전시는 현재 독일, 서울, 대구에서 활동하며 스스로를 탐구하고 다양하게 실험해 가고 있는 이들 작가의 회화, 사진, 설치, 디지털 페인팅 그리고 영상 작품을 선보입니다. This exhibition, part of the Young Artists Series, will present paintings, photographs, installations, digital paintings, and video works by these artists, currently active in Germany, Seoul, and Daegu, Korea who are exploring themselves and experimenting diversely. Jihoon Park 박지훈 박지훈 작가는 회화적이면서도 기계적인 특성을 갖추고 있으며 아날로그적인 감각을 디지털에 옮겨 놓는 시도를 해오고 있다. 이번 전시에서는 <숨어서 본 사람들>이라는 주제로 제작된 영상과 그 영상에 활용된 각 프레임들을 프린팅하여 보여준다. 그는 “기존의 애니메이션 프레임이 아닌 24+1의 프레임을 사용했다”며, +1에 해당되는 25번째의 프레임을 강조하며 설치했고, 이를 통해 “대상을 유심히 들여다보는 것의 어려움과 그 가치를 보여주고자 한다.”고 했다. 그는 자신이 “관찰자”로서 타인을 관찰하는 것을 즐기며, 관찰을 통한 자신만의 해석을 바탕으로 이미지를 그리는 내적인 작업 과정이다. Artist Park Jihoon’s works possess painterly and mechanical characteristics, reflecting his ongoing attempt to bring analog sensibilities into the digital. In this exhibition, he shows a video titled ‘People in Hiding,’ along with prints of each frame used in the video. He mentioned that he used ’24+1 frames’ instead of the usual animation frames, and installed with emphasis on the ‘+1 frame,’ which is the 25th frame. Through this, he explained the difficulty and value of closely observing an object. As an observer, he enjoys watching others and creating images based on his own interpretations through this internal process. Keifer Na 나동석 나동석 작가는 디지털 페인팅과 이를 기반으로 만들어진 영상 작업을 보여준다. 이번 전시에서 선보이는 사진 작업 <빛나는 도시>와 디지털 페인팅 작업<도시 풍광>, 그리고 <경계 광장>은 서울의 각 건축물과 형태에 자신만의 시각과 감정을 은유적으로 담아낸 것으로 특정한 건물들의 형태 변화 혹은 의미화와도 관련된다. 그는 도시의 다양한 층위와 지역을 분석해서 자신만의 도시적 풍광을 그리며, 그 풍광 속에서 한국 사회가 얼마나 다양한 모습과 범주를 가지고 있는지를 보여주고자 한다.
